Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"We have stopped here a few times driving through the peninsula or on our way to Victoria. Great coffee and views. And any place that offers vegan eggs(!!!) for breakfast sandwiches wins over my heart."
"What’s to tell? Their coffee is excellent, coffee-cake is my favorite, egg bites so delicious, scones and muffins,…. all of their baked delights wonderful and made fresh in-house by an outgoing warm and friendly crew of hard working young baristas and bakers. What’s to tell? A quiet joyful environment, and at various times with views of a wide variety of sea birds, otters, seals, raccoons…etc. a great place to have a cup of Joe while you’re waiting for the ferry to Canada’s beautiful Victoria on Vancouver Island, and her splendid delights. I mean, what’s to tell?"
"Stumbled on this place and it was super nice. Tasty baked goods and refreshing coffee. The view is absolutely stunning. Oh did I mention the goodies are made at location! Nor from Costco. Btw nothing against Costco but they actually make the stuff here."
"Stopped by for a latte and quick bite to eat. Vanilla latte was good and breakfast sandwich was delicious. Had our sandwich on a croissant with an amazing sauce. It was packed for about ten minutes with people waiting on the ferry but cleared out quickly."
"This café is a must see if visiting downtown! It's tucked away in the Wharf so there's not as much foot traffic, and the inside has a very cohesive theme that makes it feel refreshing and open. We got a hot and an iced drink, and it is made with the smoothest coffee that doesn't sit heavy on the stomach. If you're looking for great coffee with tons of flavor options, this is the place to go! It's not listed on their menu, but they do serve breakfast sandwiches, you can ask the barista when you order for an order form. Overall very happy with my visit, I can't wait to go again when I'm back in town!"
"We go in once maybe twice every month. Their coffee and smoothies are amazing. My favorite is thier strawberry banana orange juice smoothie. Today we had the biscuts and gravy and it was wonderful. Our 32nd anniversary was earlier this week so I asked the girls to make up a goodie box for me and they really came through for me. I got the no bake cookies, peanut butter balls, carrot cake and coffee cake. If I wanted to get any thing like this again there is no doubt in my mind that I will be getting my desert type items from them again. THANK YOU LADIES FOR SOME AMAZING GOODIES. THEY WHERE AMAZING."
"Nice view from the cafe, cozy inside with friendly people and a pleasant atmosphere. Latte is too sweet, pastries are okay, and there’s a good variety of syrups."
"A little cafe at the end of the wharf. This cozy cafe is run by a friendly and efficient staff. It's very comfortable, with tables and barstools and a fantastic view of the ocean (weather permitting, of course). They've got all the coffee options and various pastries. It's perfectly situated as a staging area for passengers of the Black Ball Ferry to get a quick cup of Joe while waiting to depart."
